The “Fill in” with Dermatological Fillers (Part 2!)

As was previously discussed in a recent article, dermatological fillers are a convenient and effective way to improve the elasticity of your skin. With natural additives like hyaluronic acid (A natural moisturizing substance found in almost all cells of your body) patients are flocking to these long term fillers to strengthen their confidence and get real results. If you have done research about dermatological fillers since our last article, you have probably found that there are many different types of fillers that all seem to accomplish the same or similar goals. Today, we wanted to introduce another option for patients who are wanting long-term results.

How does Bellafill work?

It reduces the look of acne scars in two ways. Its small microspheres are set in a collagen gel. The diameter of each microsphere is so small, that they’re not visible to the naked eye. These work to build on collagen naturally found in your skin. Bellafill is an FDA approved and physician promoted due to high patient satisfaction.

Is there a recovery time?

While you can return to your normal activities right away, you may experience some temporary swelling, redness, pain, bruising, lumps or bumps, itching, and discoloration at the treatment site. Keep in mind that these symptoms are usually temporary, resolving within 1 to 7 days.

How much does Bellafill cost?

It depends on what your provider recommends. You can schedule an appointment to discuss all of your skincare concerns at your next visit.

What is the difference between Belotero and Bellafill?

While Belotero dermatological fillers are a great option for those who have mild acne scars or fine lines, those with severe pitted or atrophic skin may be looking for something more long term.

How long does it last?

While results can vary between patients, most patients report visible results for up to a year.
