Diagnostic Hysteroscopy
Gynecology issues happen at all stages of life. One of the tools we use to determine the cause of abnormalities is a Diagnostic Hysteroscopy. The doctor uses a thin viewing tool, which is inserted in the vagina, to examine the endometrial lining. A Diagnostic Hysteroscopy is helpful to determine causes of:
- Severe cramping
- Abnormal bleeding
- Infertility (such as shape, size, or scar tissue in the uterus)
- Miscarriages
- Bleeding after menopause
A diagnostic hysteroscopy may also be used to remove growths in the uterus such as fibroids or polyps, or remove blockages in the fallopian tubes.
